Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT 01/2025

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must meet specific academic criteria based on the branch they are applying for:

  • Flying Branch: A Bachelor’s degree in any stream with Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level, or a B.E/B.Tech degree.
  • Ground Duty (Technical Branch): A minimum of 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level and a four-year degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical Branch): A Bachelor’s degree in any stream with at least 60% marks for Administrative and Logistics roles, or a B.Com degree with 60% marks for Accounts.
  • NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch): Candidates must hold an NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ Certificate.
  • Meteorology Entry: A B.Sc degree in Physics and Mathematics with a minimum of 60% marks.

Age Limit for AFCAT 01/2025

As of January 1, 2026, the age criteria are as follows:

  • Flying Branch: 20–24 years.
  • Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical): 20–26 years.

Age relaxation applies as per IAF rules.

Application Fee
